Industry Training
EITI provides Electrical Utility Worker Training and associated programs to organizations throughout Canada and around the world. EITI offers more than 100 courses, from powerline apprenticeship programs and journeyperson upgrading courses to safety training. With both theoretical classroom and practical hands-on training, each successful participant acquires comprehensive knowledge and skills to meet or exceed worldwide training standards, including the Government of Canada's "Red Seal" standard.
These Canadian "Red Seal" courses address worker safety regulations and best work practices. Powerline construction and maintenance training includes rigging, live line work methods to 500 kV, complete underground installations with terminations to 35 kV, climbing, fall protection and rescue procedures.
EITI offers code-compliant, classroom and hands-on training programs for high voltage substation personnel. Substation personnel are taught how to safely perform such hazardous tasks as operating disconnect switches, isolating circuit breakers and grounding station lines. Programs include current regulations, policies and procedures.
EITI provides training for all industry workers, from new crew members to worksite supervisors. Combining theory with active application, EITI’s safety programs incorporate industry best practices with your own safety program. Proud to be a member of WorkSafeBC’s Education Network, EITI’s programs meet or exceed all regulatory requirements.
