All programs address the most current worker safety and maintenance procedures and meet the Canadian “Red Seal” standard for quality. The Power Line Technician Apprenticeship Program is designed for individuals already indentured as apprentices defined by the Industry Training Authority, (ITA) and employed by an electrical utility company in British Columbia. Our three-year PLT apprenticeship program provides hands-on overhead and underground training that meets or exceeds all applicable regulations. It covers the most current safety and maintenance procedures, such as rigging and live line procedures, underground residential distribution, distribution troubleshooting, and more.
Individuals seeking a career as a Power Line Technician are requested to contact the Industry Training Authority or any one of BC’s electrical utility companies.
